About Us | History
When writers join the Naz-Sect team their music becomes part of a network of publishers and licensing affiliates that have placements in a myriad of films, television shows, video games and commercials. We are constantly pitching music on a weekly basis while simultaneously our writers music, becomes part of popular catalogs that music supervisors and licensees frequent regularly.
Our goal is to get our writers music heard and licensed. We don't make any money unless the writer makes money, so it's in our best interest to be successful.
We do what writers and artists don't have time or money to do on their own. While writers focus on their creativity and craft, we're making phone calls, traveling to meet with ad execs, networking in different cities and doing everything we can to create exposure for the writers music and our catalog. Without the Writer or Producer we're nothing.
What We Do
This information is often not known or misunderstood, so we decided to just tell you what we do, so you can understand why we’re so busy.
- We’re constantly receiving requests for music through our contacts. If we have what they need we submit music immediately. If not, then we reach out through our e-mail list and see if any of our writers have music that fits the need.
- We’re researching new films, ad agencies and reaching out to the music supervisors and music editors involved. This is a long and tedious process, but pays off when we have the opportunity to get our writers music heard and possibly placed.
- It is good practice to attend networking sessions and pitching opportunities in different cities. This allows us to meet new people and provide more exposure for our writers and their songs.
- We subscribe to some high cost “intel” that gives us info about what artists, A&R’s and film producers are looking for and needing, but it is well worth it. We understand that we’re still new in the game and we don’t know everybody. So sometimes paying for this information is the best way to get what we need.
These are just the things we do to make sure our writers’ music is being heard. In addition to all of the things above, we’re listening to new demos, adding song titles to ASCAP, BMI or SESAC, speaking with writers, conferencing with our advisors and financiers etc. You get the idea… We’re working hard to make sure our business is profitable and that our musicians are getting paid above average.
